Score ten growth levers, then fix two

Ways to get help with your growth levers

Pick by how much help you want. A review session checks your own scoring, the diagnostic replaces guesswork with evidence, the plan turns two levers into action, and check-ins keep it moving.

There are four ways to get help, and the right one depends on how much you already know about your own business. If you have done the free self-assessment, you may only need a review. If you have not, or you suspect your scores flatter you, the full diagnostic is the honest place to start. Every option is delivered by phone, video and shared documents, so it works the same from Victoria to St. John's. Prices for each are on the pricing page.

Self-assessment review session

Best if you have already scored yourself and want a second opinion before you act. You bring your printed scorecard and a few numbers; Ali goes through it with you.

In one working session you check each lever's score against what you can show, re-rank your weak levers by impact, and leave with a short list of two priorities and the first actions for each. It is billed by the hour, which makes it the lightest and lowest-cost way to work with us.

Choose this if your main question is "am I reading this right?" Read more about the review session.

Ten-lever growth diagnostic

Best if you want your business scored against evidence rather than memory. Ali reviews your call records, website and listing analytics, quotes, reviews and financial summaries, then scores each lever and writes up the findings.

The output is a written report: a score for each lever with the evidence behind it, the two levers that matter most right now, a dollar estimate of what each is likely costing you, and the order to fix them in. It is a fixed-price project.

Choose this if you have never had an outside view of the whole business, or if your team disagrees about what the problem is. Read more about the growth diagnostic.

Focused two-lever plan

Best if you already know your two weak levers and need a plan you can carry out with your current team. The plan takes each lever from "we should fix that" to named actions, owners, measures and dates.

It covers what to change, who does it, what it costs, how you will know it worked, and what to stop doing to make room. Where outside help makes sense, it says what kind and what to ask for. This is also priced as a project.

Choose this after a diagnostic, after a review session, or on its own if your scores are clear. Read more about the focused plan.

Monthly lever check-ins

Best if you want a standing advisor to keep the plan honest month after month. Each month Ali re-scores the levers you are working on, reviews the numbers, and agrees the next month's actions with you.

At the lighter end, this is a monthly review and a written note. At the heavier end, it includes hands-on work on marketing and conversion levers. It is a monthly retainer with no lock-in.

Choose this if you know from experience that plans drift when the busy season arrives. Read more about monthly check-ins.

A quick way to choose

Match the service to the question you are actually asking.

Your question Start with
"Did I score myself right?" Review session
"What is really holding us back?" Growth diagnostic
"How do we fix these two things?" Focused plan
"How do we keep going?" Monthly check-ins

Not sure? Call, text or email, tell us where you are, and we will suggest the smallest option that answers your question. The first 30-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation. What we do not do

We are business and marketing consultants, so some problems belong with other professionals. We do not give legal, tax, accounting or financing advice, and we do not act as a lender, broker or recruiter. When a lever needs one of those, such as a pricing change that raises contract questions, we will say so and suggest you take it to the right professional. That keeps the advice useful and the risk where it belongs.

Frequently asked questions

Which service do most owners start with?

Owners who have already scored themselves usually start with a review session. Owners who suspect their own scores are off, or who run a larger operation, usually start with the full diagnostic.

Do I have to buy them in order?

No. Each one stands on its own. Some owners take a review session and never need anything else. Others go straight to monthly check-ins because they already know their weak levers.

Do you carry out the fixes yourselves?

Sometimes, where the fix is marketing or conversion work within our skills, and only if you ask. Often the right person to carry out a fix is you, your team or a specialist you already trust. We say which, plainly.

Is the work done in person?

It can be. Consultations run in person or by video call, as well as by phone, text and email, and the analysis works from shared documents, which is why we can work with owners in every province and territory.
