What drives the cost

Four things move a quote up or down, and you control some of them.

  1. Size and complexity. Scoring one location with one main service is a smaller job than scoring three locations and four product lines.
  2. State of the records. If phone logs, analytics and a monthly financial summary are easy to export, evidence gathering is quick. If they are scattered, it takes longer.
  3. Depth of written output. A short findings report costs less than a detailed plan with costed actions for each lever.
  4. Hands-on work. On retainers, review and advice sit at the lower end; doing marketing and conversion work for you sits higher.

The cheapest way to lower a quote is to do the self-assessment first and gather your basic numbers before the consultation.

A worked example of value, not price

Before paying for anything, it is worth knowing what a weak lever might be costing you. Here is a simple way to estimate it.

Suppose a physiotherapy clinic receives 120 inquiries a month and books 50% of them, at an average first-course value of $450. That is 60 new patients and about $27,000 a month. If a review session or diagnostic helped lift the booking rate to 60%, that would be 72 patients and about $32,400 a month, or roughly $5,400 more. Over a year, that is about $64,800 from one lever.

Your numbers will be different, and nobody can promise the lift. But doing this arithmetic with your own figures tells you roughly how much it is sensible to spend on finding and fixing a lever. Our guide to reading your score shows the same method in more detail.

Growth Partner Program

For a limited number of businesses, Ali works on a performance basis instead of a fee. Ali commits his hours first and gets paid from results that both sides can count. Terms are custom, and places are limited.

It tends to suit businesses where:

  • the results can be measured cleanly, such as booked jobs, sales or new customers
  • the owner is willing to share the numbers needed to measure them
  • there is a clear lever with room to move

If that sounds like you, mention it in your first message and Ali will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

How to choose

Spend the least that answers your current question.

  • Already scored yourself and want a check? A review session, billed by the hour.
  • Want the business scored with evidence? The diagnostic.
  • Know the two levers and need a plan? The focused plan.
  • Want help sticking to it? Monthly check-ins, with no lock-in.

Not sure which fits? Call, text or email and say so. In the free consultation Ali will suggest the smallest option that does the job, and the figure is confirmed in writing before anything starts. Questions about contracts and ownership are answered on the FAQ, and the contact page explains what to send.

Frequently asked questions

Is anything free?

Yes. The printable self-assessment and the three guides are free, and the initial 30-minute consultation is free with no obligation. You pay only when you choose a session, a project or a retainer.

Are taxes included?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and owners add GST or HST for their province, or GST and QST in Quebec. Your invoice shows the tax that applies.

Why are the ranges so wide?

Because a one-location shop and a multi-location company need very different amounts of work. After the free consultation you get a specific figure in writing, not a range.

What is the Growth Partner Program?

It is a pay-on-results arrangement: Ali puts his time in first, and his fee depends on outcomes you can both measure. Places are limited and terms are custom, so it suits businesses whose results can be measured cleanly.

Do your fees include advertising spend?

No. Our fees are for advice and, where agreed, hands-on work. If a plan involves advertising, we recommend the ad accounts are in your company's name and paid directly by you, and the arrangement is confirmed in writing.
